A Surprising Turn

(continued from here, with a choice of “agree to help him because he’s sexy and maybe I can try to draw his attention away from his work”)

I smiled back at him, with a bit of a smirk, as I asked, “What do you have in mind?” I rose as I spoke, and took a few steps toward him, my hips rolling. I bit back my frustration as he didn’t seem phased in the least. He started writing on a sheet of paper. I approached the end of the table across from him and leaned over, my hands resting on the table. He finished writing and reached up to hand me the paper, looking up as he did. His eyes locked on my cleavage for a moment, and I smiled.

“If… If you could find these books for me, it would be a big help.”

I took the paper from him and looked it over, not changing my position. “I think I can find these quickly enough,” I said. I glanced up and noticed his eyes back on my cleavage. I turned and walked away, again making sure to sway my hips. I looked back at him as I turned down one of the aisles. He was still watching me.

Stubborn Man

(continued from part 1, with a choice of “mystery”)

The guy had close-cropped blonde hair and an intense look in his eyes. He was clean-shaven and square-jawed. He wore a loose-fitting black coat, but his dark gray shirt underneath fit him snugly. His shirt was tucked into black pants with a silver-buckled black leather belt. His black shoes were nice-looking, but more durable than dress shoes. I could only really get a rough idea of his body type, but he seemed to be in good shape, a couple inches taller than me, and absolutely delicious looking!

I smoothed my skirt, adjusted my breasts in my bra,  and rounded the corner again. He was gone! He must’ve moved like a ghost! I was definitely close enough to have heard him. Or was I so lost in the brief rush of thoughts about him ravaging me that I just didn’t notice him leave? Confused, and a little frustrated, I went looking for him.

It didn’t take long for me to find him again. He was sitting at a table a little ways away from where I first spotted him. His briefcase was open on the table, and he had several books scattered around him. He was furiously scribbling away on a notepad, either copying from an open book on the table or referencing it often. I couldn’t tell what book it was, or what it was about, but I could see some of the others he had. There were books on secret societies, rare metals, electronics, and nursery rhymes, as well as a map of southern Europe. More

Closing Time

“Are you sure?” Sarah asked me, for probably the third time.

I laughed quietly. “Yes, I’m sure. You haven’t shut up about your date all day! Just promise you’ll tell me all about it tomorrow.”

Sarah nodded. “Of course I will.”

“Just do one thing before you go.” She nodded again. “Walk the floor before you go and let everyone know we’ll be closing in fifteen minutes.”

“Sure thing,” she said. “And thank you.”

I smiled as she scurried off into the heart of the library. I turned back to the stack of books still needing to be checked back in and set to work.

A few minutes later, Sarah returned and informed me that there were only eight people left in the library, and they were all informed of our approaching close. She then asked me yet again if I was really okay with her leaving early. After more reassuring, she finally left to get ready for her date.
