[This is Part 1 of an on-going series.]

He was at the restaurant again that night, watching me as I worked. At least, it felt like he was watching me. It felt that way every time he was there, which was every night for the last week and a half. I was a little nervous about him. This was just a shitty job to get me some extra spending money as I finished up high school. I never thought it would get me a stalker!

It was Monday night, and he was there. The guy wasn’t bad looking. Far from it! Short wavy brown hair, blue eyes, goatee, thin build, probably around 20. Always dressed casually. If it wasn’t for the creep factor, I could go for a guy like that. He’d just sit there most of the night, nibbling away at his food. Something felt different that night, though. I couldn’t put my finger on it, but something was different. There’s no way I could’ve known that it would be this night that we’d end up running for our lives. Maybe he knew, but I didn’t.
